Limehouse Cottage, shown to the left of the above photo, is located in a beautiful conservation area beside Hampton Court Palace and the River Thames in south-west London. Formerly a gravel pit and later a modest dwelling, the site remained remarkably untouched for nearly 200 years, changing hands just three times in its history.
